ESO - Hook64 causing FPS drop

Postby Snetro » 4:56 am, Wed Jul 31, 2019

Hi!

I've got FPS drops due to some graphics mods, but my PC should be good enough.

My Setup:
i5 8600K @ 4,2 GHz
Geforce GTX 1080 / 8GB VRAM
16GB RAM

In other games I haven't got bad FPS! I can play BDO on Max Setings, Monster Hunter World, The Witcher 3, etc.

I've installed Hook64, Reshade and the preset "neat perfection".
I think reshade isn't causing any trouble, because when I'm clicking F11, to toggle off all Reshade-effects, the game still has bad FPS in some areas.
I think it has to do with Hook64, but also when all my settings are on the lowest, it's causing FPS drop.
I uninstalled reshade and the FPS drops were still there.

PLS help me! :-)

It's not really possible for Hook64 to cause FPS drops like that. All Hook64 does for ESO is changes values in the engine that are already there. There's one option that could cause a lot of lag, especially if your comp can't handle it, which is "Allow Low Quality Models". You should always have that checked unless you're taking screenshots or have a monster computer.

Thank you!
I just forgot to read this post and just figured that out for myself.
I thought my PC should be able to handle that function, but when you say, you should use it only for screenshots or with a monster computer, I'm calm!
Thanks!! :)

In some areas my FPS still drops sometimes. Could you give me any tips what to improve/tweak and how?
