Equipment in the Hidden slot showing up (on certain characters)

On my cleric and swordsman, if I equip a weapon to one of the hidden slots, it shows up on their sprite. However, on my Wizard, I've equipped 4 different weapons in all the hidden slots, but they don't show up. Or do they not show up on certain costumes?

But, on my other cleric, I equipped a sword to a hidden slot, but it doesn't appear on the character even though it appears on my other cleric, but they have the same costume...

What is causing this? Is it only client sided? Or can everyone see it?

As far as I know, hidden stuff only shows up on female characters.

If you can see it on your character, other people can see it.

I figured it out. It happens on some staffs and maces that have longer rod things, making it show up at your characters feet.
